Omi Tsukiyono is the youngest member of Weiss, but also considered the leader of the group, as he was the first member of the team. Despite only being seventeen, he is quite skilled with computers and technology, thus acting as the information gatherer, mission planner, and communications expert during any given mission. He is smart and reliable, and uses mostly projectile weapons during the series. In the anime he mostly uses green darts, but later on he is seen using bows, arrows, and smaller crossbows.

Omi is not, however, all that he appears to be. At the beginning of the show, Omi has no memory of who he was before being taken in by Kritiker and joining Weiss. As the show goes on, we learn that Omi was kidnapped at a young age, and held for ransom by two men. His family would not pay the ransom though, and Omi was saved by Persia, the man who is in charge of Weiss’ operations. Persia gave the boy his new name and set him up at the first member of Weiss. Further on, Omi discovers who he really is. His real name turns out to be Mamoru Takatori, meaning he is part of the Takatori family that is constantly connected to many of Weiss’ missions. Reijii Takatori is Omi’s father, and also the man who murdered Aya’s parents and ran over his little sister. Omi’s brother’s, Hirofumi and Masafumi, are also targeted by Weiss, as one was conducting an illegal human hunting game and the other was running human experiments and killing innocent people.

After learning all of this, Omi has trouble deciding where his loyalties lie, but he eventually comes to terms with the fact that he isn’t Mamoru Takatori, and lives as Omi Tsikiyono, eventually ending the lives of his two brothers and acting in the mission to kill his father. He never learns during the series that his real father is actually Shuichi Takatori, Reijii’s brother and the real man behind Persia. Shuichi had an affair with his brother’s wife, which resulted in Omi’s birth.

When the first anime series ends, the audience is left till the very end wondering if Weiss survived the fall of the Tower where they were battling Schwarz. They did, and after the first 25 episodes, two other installments are released, one where there is a heart wrenching mission in which the Weiss group turn against each other, Ken and Omi vs Aya and Youji. However, the whole mission turns out to be a ploy to trick the target, and none of the Weiss members actually die. Later, Omi takes on the role of Perisia, having found out about his biological father. But since I don’t like Gluhen, we won’t be going anymore onto that path. :D

Omi, despite the fact that he murders people on a nightly basis, is not actually all that cynical. The show portrays him as a rather cheerful and easygoing kid, who works at the flower shop as well as attending high school. He’s smart and amicable, making several of the shop’s younger female clientele go giddy around him. His most staunch admirer, however, is a girl by the name of Ouka Sakaki. She makes her affections for Omi known, never knowing that they are really cousins. Ouka and Omi get closer as the series goes on, but unfortunately she is killed by Farferello of Schwarz. Omi is extremely saddened by the loss, but continues to fight in Ouka’s name in order to avenge her.

Omi does question his role as a killer sometimes throughout the series, but in the end he believes in Weiss’ justice, and does everything he can to support the team. He tries to play peace keeper of the group, and probably the most calm of all of the Weiss boys. He can lose his head at times and become emotional, but he picks himself up later and finishes the job.
